This work was inspired by the concepts that Erik Bulatov uses in his paintings. Any painting consists of two elements: surface of the canvas and the depth and dimension created by the artist. The coherence of those elements is exactly what Bulatov works with, but instead of combining the two like it is done traditionally, he contrasts the two. In my work I experiment with using 3D objects that don’t belong to a particular space and exist on their own although involved in a larger piece of work.
